Donation given to Traci’s Hope 04/30/2009 03:10 PM By: Web Staff
SOUTHERN TIER, N.Y. -- There's more community support for Traci's Hope, which helps local breast cancer patients with costs that are not covered by health insurance.
On Thursday, Klemmt Orthopedics and Amoena, a prosthetic company they work closely with, donated $2,000 to the organization. They decided to help out after some of their employees got involved with Traci's Hope and spread word about all the good work they do.
"She sees patients who are being reimbursed through Traci's fund and I thought what a wonderful way to give back, to give them the money so that it just comes full circle and helps those who need it the most," said Amoena Territory Manager Christina Rotondo.
Traci's Hope is named after Traci Gibson of Apalachin who passed away in 2006.
